Day 1. (Walking tour around Kislovodsk followed by lunch, 5 hours)
Meeting at Kislovodsk railway station, transfer to your hotel before embarking on Mineralnye Vody airport.
Kislovodsk is a resort city, which is located between the Black and the Caspian Seas. You will visit the biggest resort park with its famous Mirror pond and the river Olkhovka. You will go up the cable-way to see the Caucasian ridge. Then there will be lunch on the territory of the park. Additionally, you may visit the memorial mansion of Fyodor Shalyapin and the ethnological museum Kislovodsk Stronghold (open-air tour), or the memorial house of Yaroshenko. At the Main Narzan Gallery you will be offered three types of mineral water and the tour will end at the Main Narzan Baths.
Return to your hotel, free time. Supper in one of the numerous restaurants on the Kurortny Boulevard or the hotel. You can also visit a recreation spa centre in the hotel.
Day 2. ( 9-hour tour with lunch )
Breakfast in the hotel. Morning visit to the youngest resort town Essentuki, which is located at the foot of the Caucasian Mountains. It is considered to be the cultural capital of Russia's Greek population and even today towards ten percent of its population is of Greek descent. Among all the mineral springs of Essentuki there are about twenty of medical value. Essentuki was recognized as one of the best health resorts. You will have a chance to see and explore this city by visiting the park, the drinking gallery of spring No 17, the mud baths.
The next stop is Zheleznovodsk with its finest specimens of the19th century architecture such as Emir of Bucharia’s palace, Pushkin gallery, Ostrovsky baths, Cascade staircase. During the tour you will have an opportunity to taste water from the unique Slavyanovsky spring.
After lunch the tour will be continued in Pyatigorsk. You will get on the top of the moutain Mashuk, visit the magnificent Tsvetnik park, enjoy the view from the Aeolian harp, a small stone pavilion, and see the famous underground lake Proval. During the tour special attention will be given to the role of the famous Russian poet Mikhail Lermontov, who left his mark in the history of this city.
Return to the hotel in Kislovodsk. Supper in the restaurant on the Kurortny Boulevard.
Day 3. (5-hour tour with lunch)
After breakfast you’ll go to Alikonovskoye Gorge to see the real Caucasus. The guide will take you to Medovye (Honey) Waterfalls on the territory of Karachay-Cherkessian Republic. You will see 5 marvelous waterfalls of different height. On your way you’ll stop to see the natural marvel of Ring Mountain and the mysterious Rim Mountain, where in the 6th century the ancient Alan settlement was located. You will have an opportunity to rest, taste national cuisine, visit ethnological museum or a local farm yard.
Finally you will visit a Tea House with a great variety of handpicked herbs, homemade jam and honey. Also, if you want, you can take an equine tour.
Enjoy breakfast before checking out of the hotel and transfer to the train station or airport.
